Give it a shot!

We all know about the little blue pill and its wondrous properties that have rejuvenated so many relationships. Viagra, Kamagra nd all the other derivates of Syldenafil have enabled thousands of men to achieve rock solid performance in the bedroom and as a result these men – and their sexual partners – are so much happier, healthier and hopefully satisfied in the bedroom. But one thing the brilliant blue pill never claimed was that it would give you a much better orgasm. Sure, a guy could last longer and have a third leg as stiff as a scooter's kickstand but it didn't give you a more powerful or intense moment of pleasure at the time of release. But a new drug aimed at women does exactly that!

You may not have heard of the 'Orgasm Shot' – yet – but you soon will. At around a thousand quid a treatment I'm not sure that it is within every woman's budget but there are sure to be some who will break the bank to give it a go. One thing I would suggest is to err on the side of caution. At the moment the jab is only offered by one Harley Street surgery and there appears to be little or no medical evidence or research to back up the claims being made such as the Orgasm Shot will “rejuvenate your vagina”. As a party girl I've always found that a champagne supper at a top London restaurant has just that effect on me but that's by the by.

I imagine that as long as men and women wanted to enjoy great sex there have been miracle remedies, performance boosters and equipment enhancers available, usually at an inflated price. Look at the rise of sex toy sales in the United Kingdom alone. The market is worth billions world wide. Given that there is little in life that comes close to the pleasure of having hot sex it is fully understandable that singles and couples will be looking for something to give their sex life that extra bit of spice, that racy boost, that je ne sais quoi.

So, how does it work, supposedly. Apparently the procedure works by the surgeon taking platelet rich plasma directly from the patient and then re-injecting it directly into a specific part of the vagina. Sounds painful! What is known about these platelets is that they aid healing, cause blood to clot and increase blood flow. What's needed is some research to show how all of this is linked to having a better orgasm.

Am I intrigued or should that be aroused? I like sex. I like orgasms, especially multiple ones LOL. Does the idea of a better orgasm appeal? Of course! I'm sure if I spoke to my Harlow escort friends and asked them what would most improve their, probably already overactive sex life they might joke, more men but most would say an even better orgasm. Sex sells. You see this in every walk of life, in every area of marketing, in many relationships. And for a sexually interested and active female the idea that she might actually enjoy one of those mind blowing orgasms that we read about in Cosmopolitan all the time will be hard to resist. And to be able to have the best orgasm of your life, every time and all the time? Well, let's call it the When Harry met Sally effect but boosted and on steroids!

I expect Orgasm Shots to be lining up next to Flavoured Gin shots on the bar of my favourite club at any time soon...
