A Walk in the Woods

Is it just me or is there a double standard when it comes to judging the sexual peccadilloes of male and female celebrities? Sometimes I get the impression we are still living in the seventies when a guy who slept around was a stud but when a girl enjoyed many a hot tryst it was an entirely different matter in respect of how she would be described. You see, I've been reading about the radio presenter couple who used to enjoy having sex in the great outdoors. In itself that shouldn't be too scandalous, though of course the press have feasted on the salacious details of the couples al fresco coupling. But there were other men involved or at least young men whom the couple claimed were seventeen or eighteen but it turns out may have been a little younger than that. If that is truly the case then I'm sure justice will be done.

Anyway, the facts of the case aside the woman in the story has had every aspect of her personal life picked over but her husband is only presented as a bit part character. Even in an apparently respectable broadsheet newspaper I read this morning that the woman in question posed 'half naked' for a saucy charity calendar entitled 'naughty but nice'. So, there we have it. Rather than focus on the case before the court and whether she did anything questionable that she must now pay for we are given totally unrelated information about her. What's wrong with doing a sexy calendar shoot? Many of the girls at the escort agency have posed for hot pictures. When you have a great body, and some of the Eastern European escorts at this agency have amazingly sexy bodies believe me, then why not show it off? It's absolutely no different to your average girl wearing little or nothing whilst sunning herself on a beach in Majorca. Puritan attitudes really do get me down. And it's all hypocrisy anyway as many of the men who rail against women's liberation and sexuality are more than happy to spend time and money enjoying a girl's physical attributes.

The story in the paper is simply about sex. And sex sells. And wrapping it up in any other way would be less than honest. This isn't the first time that a woman becomes the central focus of a news story because she enjoys sex and doesn't live her life but the standards and mores of a repressed minority.

Now, I have never had sex outdoors but it does sound like fun. At least it sounds like fun in some country where the weather can be relied upon. I have images of freezing cold buttocks and being pricked by thorns if you try to get up to anything in the English countryside. I did strip off on a nudist beach in Spain a little while back. It was all subtly done as there were strategic natural screens and the occasional roughly assembled stone shelters – which actually served to give some sort of privacy if you fancied some naughty nookie, which I do quite often if the truth be told. So, perhaps I need to find a secluded corner of our green and pleasant land where I can try outdoor sex for myself.
